Suryodaya Adventures began with a simple idea: Ilam has world-class scenery, so it deserves a world-class adventure park to match.
Suryodaya means "sunrise" — the same golden light that draws thousands of visitors to the Shree Antu viewpoint each year. We chose the name because it captures exactly what we want every guest to feel here: a fresh start, an open sky, and a reason to push a little further than you planned.
What started as a small zipline and a patch of cleared hillside has grown into a full adventure park at just outskirt of Kanyam, on the road connecting Fikkal, shreeantu and the wider Ilam district — one of the most scenic corners of eastern Nepal.
Every zipline, wall and jump platform is inspected daily. Our guides are trained in first aid and rescue procedure before they ever brief a guest.
We employ local staff, source food from nearby farms, and design every activity to showcase — not compete with — the natural landscape around us.
From nervous first-timers to seasoned climbers, families to solo backpackers — our activities are graded so everyone finds their level of thrill.
Who says entrepreneurship is only a game for the young? At Suryodaya Adventures, we believe true vision knows no age — and our story is living proof.
At the age of 65, a time when most people plan for a quiet retirement, our founder Dil Bahadur Raut decided to embark on a bold new entrepreneurial journey. Partnering with energetic young minds, he set out to build something visionary in the adventure tourism landscape.
Where others saw a routine hillside, Dil Bahadur saw untouched potential. He recognised early on that adventure sports like ziplining, archery and climbing could breathe new life into the region, placing it firmly on the map as a premier destination for thrill-seekers and families alike.
His courage to launch a brand-new venture later in life is an inspiration to our entire team, and to anyone holding onto a dream. Today, Suryodaya Adventures stands as a testament to his bold vision — proving that with passion, grit and the right team, it is never too late to create something extraordinary.
